Epiphany (2000)
I imagine this image as the climactic moment of a sacred dance, the moment in which the dancer has become the Dance, an instrument of Offering. In this “epiphany” or realization, a harmony of inner and outer realities appears: the radiant lines and arabesques around the celebrant’s enrapt face, the currents of astral force at his shoulders parallel the livid flowers below. A moment of beauty.
